Well, bru, 8BitDo has brought that legendary era back in spectacular style! 😎

Meet the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard – Clear Blue Edition, part of the special N64 30th Anniversary Collection celebrating three decades of gaming nostalgia.

Inspired by the iconic transparent blue designs of the late 1990s, this keyboard combines a stunning see-through aesthetic with modern mechanical keyboard technology.

Featuring 87 keys, custom 8BitDo Cloud Gray linear mechanical switches, hot-swappable construction, Bluetooth connectivity, 2.4GHz wireless, wired USB operation and two oversized programmable Super Buttons, this is one seriously cool addition to any gaming setup.

Whether you're a retro gaming collector, mechanical keyboard enthusiast or someone who simply loves unique gadgets, this keyboard brings a proper dose of gaming history to your desk.

Thirty years of nostalgia. One seriously lekker keyboard! 💙

N64 30th Anniversary Collection. A Tribute to Gaming History! 🕹️

Back in 1996, gaming entered a whole new dimension.

The Nintendo 64 introduced a generation of gamers to unforgettable 3D adventures, iconic characters and legendary multiplayer battles.

To celebrate 30 years of that gaming era, 8BitDo created its N64 30th Anniversary Collection.

The Clear Blue keyboard pays tribute to the transparent coloured accessories that became synonymous with late-1990s gaming.

Its translucent blue construction gives the keyboard a distinctive appearance that stands out from ordinary gaming peripherals.

If you grew up during the golden age of N64 gaming, this one's going to hit you right in the nostalgia, bru!

Transparent Clear Blue Design. Show Off That Retro Goodness! 💎

Let's be honest.

Most keyboards look pretty similar.

Black cases. Grey keycaps. Maybe a little RGB lighting if you're lucky.

But the Clear Blue Edition?

This thing has personality for days!

Its transparent blue styling reveals elements of the keyboard's construction, creating a distinctive retro-tech appearance.

The design takes inspiration from the see-through electronics that were so popular during the 1990s.

Whether you're building a retro-themed gaming setup or simply want something completely different on your desk, this keyboard makes an immediate impression.

And paired with the matching 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller – Clear Blue?

Now that's a proper retro gaming setup! 🎮

87-Key Tenkeyless Layout. All the Essentials! ⌨️

The Clear Blue Edition features an 87-key tenkeyless (TKL) layout.

That means you get the essential keys without the additional bulk of a dedicated numeric keypad.

You still have:

• Full alphanumeric keys
• Dedicated function keys
• Arrow keys
• Navigation controls
• Useful keyboard shortcuts

The compact design gives you more room for your mouse and other gaming accessories.

Whether you're working, coding, gaming or simply browsing, it's a practical layout for everyday use.

More mouse space. Less clutter. Maximum desk happiness!

Custom Cloud Gray Linear Switches. Smooth Typing Magic! ☁️

Here's one of the biggest differences between this keyboard and the standard N or Fami Editions.

The Clear Blue Edition features 8BitDo Cloud Gray linear mechanical switches, developed in collaboration with HUANO.

Unlike the clicky Kailh Box White V2 switches found in the N and Fami Editions, these switches are designed to provide a smooth, linear keypress.

That means no intentional tactile bump or click mechanism during the keystroke.

The result is a different typing experience that appeals to gamers and keyboard enthusiasts who prefer smooth mechanical switches.

Whether you're playing fast-paced games, writing code or typing lengthy documents, the Cloud Gray switches offer their own distinctive feel.

Smooth switches. Beautiful keyboard. Proper mechanical goodness!

Linear switches are generally less clicky than clicky mechanical switches, but the keyboard is not completely silent.

Hot-Swappable PCB. Change Your Switches Without Soldering! 🔧

Love experimenting with different mechanical switches?

You're in luck!

The Clear Blue Edition features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to remove and replace compatible switches without soldering.

It supports suitable 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.

Prefer a different linear switch?

Go for it!

Fancy trying something tactile?

You've got options!

Want to experiment with clicky switches?

That's possible too.

Hot-swappable construction makes it easier to customise your keyboard's typing experience.

Your keyboard. Your switches. Your rules, bru!

Special Edition Keycaps. Two Materials, One Beautiful Design! ✨

The Clear Blue Edition doesn't simply reuse the standard N Edition keycaps.

8BitDo has given this anniversary model its own distinctive keycap construction.

The set combines:

• Dye-Sublimation PBT Keycaps
• ABS + Polycarbonate Double-Shot Keycaps with Matte UV Coating

This combination helps create the keyboard's unique retro appearance.

The transparent elements complement the Clear Blue case, while the different materials give the keyboard its distinctive character.

It's a thoughtful design choice that makes this anniversary edition feel special.

Not just another colour change. A proper little collector's piece!

Dual Super Buttons Included. Twice the Retro Fun! 🔴

Now this is one of our favourite 8BitDo features!

The Clear Blue Edition comes with 8BitDo Dual Super Buttons, a pair of oversized, programmable controls.

These massive buttons connect to the keyboard and can be configured to perform supported keyboard commands.

Want a giant shortcut button?

Sorted!

Need quick access to a frequently used function?

Easy!

Just fancy pressing a massive arcade-style button because it's incredibly satisfying?

Bru, we completely understand! 😂

The Super Buttons add both functionality and some serious retro arcade personality to your setup.

Fast Mapping. No Software Required for Basic Assignments! ⚡

The Dual Super Buttons support convenient fast mapping, allowing you to assign supported keyboard functions without installing software for basic configurations.

That means you can quickly customise the buttons to suit your preferred workflow.

Whether you're gaming, working or simply experimenting with creative shortcuts, the Super Buttons add a fun extra layer of control.

And for more advanced settings?

That's where 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 comes in.

Big buttons. Clever shortcuts. Maximum satisfaction!

8BitDo Ultimate Software V2. Make It Yours! ⚙️

The Clear Blue Edition supports 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2.

With compatible software, you can configure supported keyboard features, including:

• Key remapping
• Custom commands
• Macro programming
• Programmable button assignments

Whether you're a programmer, content creator, gamer or keyboard enthusiast, these features allow you to personalise your setup.

You can also access compatible software updates as 8BitDo releases them.

One keyboard. Your own personal control centre!

Three Connection Modes. Wireless Freedom Sorted! 📡

Why settle for one connection method?

The Clear Blue Edition offers three ways to connect.

2.4GHz Wireless

Use the included USB receiver for wireless operation with a compatible device.

Bluetooth Low Energy

Connect wirelessly to supported Windows and Android devices.

Wired USB

Prefer a cable? Connect directly using the supplied USB cable.

Switch between supported connection methods using the keyboard's dedicated controls.

There's also convenient magnetic storage for the wireless adapter.

Wireless when you want it. Wired when you need it. Proper clever!

Independent Control Panel. Old-School Controls, Modern Convenience! 🎚️

One of the Retro Keyboard's most distinctive features is its independent control panel.

Instead of hiding everything behind complicated shortcut combinations, 8BitDo gives you convenient physical controls.

Select your preferred connection mode and adjust the volume using the dedicated controls.

It's a wonderfully practical design that fits perfectly with the keyboard's retro-inspired appearance.

Simple.

Tactile.

And undeniably cool.

Who knew a volume knob could look this lekker?

2000mAh Battery. Up to 200 Hours of Wireless Typing! 🔋

Nobody wants their keyboard battery dying during an important game or work session.

Thankfully, the Clear Blue Edition features a 2000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

According to 8BitDo:

• Battery capacity: 2000mAh
• Battery life: Up to 200 hours
• Charging time: Approximately 4 hours
• Charging: USB

That's plenty of potential keyboard time between charges.

And when the battery needs a boost, simply recharge it with the USB cable.

Your coffee supply might need topping up before your keyboard does!

Aluminium Plate & Top-Mount Construction. Built to Feel Solid! 💪

The Clear Blue Edition isn't just about nostalgia.

Underneath its beautiful design is a properly constructed mechanical keyboard.

It features an aluminium plate and top-mount structure, providing a sturdy foundation for its mechanical switches.

The keyboard weighs approximately 1.05kg, giving it a substantial feel on your desk.

Whether you're gaming or working, it feels like a serious piece of keyboard hardware.

Retro styling on the outside. Modern mechanical engineering underneath!

N-Key Rollover. Every Keypress Matters! 🎮

Gaming can involve some seriously frantic button pressing.

The Clear Blue Edition supports N-key rollover, allowing multiple simultaneous keypresses to register accurately.

This is particularly useful during fast-paced gaming and complex keyboard shortcuts.

Whether you're playing a competitive game or typing at full speed, the keyboard is designed to keep up.

Fast fingers? Bring them on!

Expansion Ports. Build Your Own Retro Control Station! 🕹️

Already loving the Dual Super Buttons?

The fun doesn't have to stop there!

The Retro Mechanical Keyboard features four dedicated 3.5mm expansion ports for compatible 8BitDo keyboard accessories.

You can connect additional supported Super Button sets and compatible extensions.

8BitDo also offers other retro-inspired accessories, such as the Super Stick and Super ABXY controls.

These can help transform your keyboard into a personalised retro control station.

Additional accessories are sold separately. The expansion ports are not audio connections.

Windows & Android Compatibility. Ready for Everyday Action! 💻

The Clear Blue Edition officially supports:

• Windows 10 version 1903 and later
• Android 9.0 and later

Whether you're gaming on your Windows PC, working on a desktop computer or using a compatible Android device, this keyboard offers flexible connectivity.

Bluetooth operation requires Bluetooth Low Energy support on the host device.
